How scoring works
Every email starts at 100. Each finding subtracts points by severity. A single rule can cost at most three times its penalty, so one repeated issue never hides everything else.
90–100 Excellent · 75–89 Good · 60–74 Needs Work · below 60 Poor
| Critical | −10 | Will break the send: JavaScript, localhost links |
| Error | −5 | Confirmed problem: missing alt, href="#", HTTP images |
| Warning | −2 | Breaks in some clients: flexbox, missing VML, no viewport |
| Info | −1 | Best practice: display:block, vague link text |

FAQ
- Is my email code stored or uploaded?
- No. The checks run entirely in your browser — the HTML you paste never leaves the page and isn't saved anywhere.
- Does it show screenshots of my email in Gmail or Outlook?
- No. It's a fast code checker for the problems behind most rendering, accessibility and tracking bugs. Screenshot testing across email clients is a separate step — this catches the issues before you get there.
- Does a perfect score mean my email works everywhere?
- No tool can promise that. A high score means none of the known risks we check for were found. Always send yourself a test before the real campaign.
- Can I check MJML?
- Paste the compiled HTML — run
npx mjml email.mjml -o email.htmlfirst. Raw MJML is detected and you'll be asked for the output. The MJML guide covers what to look for.
